    Nice work! I’m always interested in the name origins of local streets. I lived on Spalding st. in Jamaica Plain, probably named after a 19th century Red Sox star, and founder of Spalding Sporting Goods. Also Brewer st., named for a decendant of one of the original Puritan settlers of the district. These names come from somewnere.
